Jennifer York: Compassionate Therapy for Teens and Adults

Jennifer York provides affordable therapy in Humble, TX.

Experience: I am a therapist‐in‐training and an educator with twenty years of experience teaching PreK,
Kindergarten, Special Education—specifically students with Autism—and art. My work in the
classroom has shaped my belief that every person has the capacity to grow, heal, and move
through the parts of life that may be holding them back.

Therapeutic Approach: In my clinical work, I strive to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel genuinely seen
and accepted. I know how easy it is to feel stuck, and I am passionate about walking alongside
clients as they navigate challenges and reconnect with a fuller, more self‐compassionate way of
living.

I integrate expressive arts, mindfulness, and a person‐centered approach to build a
collaborative therapeutic relationship. I believe healing is a creative, shared process, and I am
honored to support clients as they explore new possibilities for themselves.

Fun facts: In my free time, I love spending time with my family and animals, painting, swimming, and
cooking. These activities help me stay grounded, creative, and connected to the things that
bring me joy.

Age range: Jennifer loves working with kids age 12+ to adults.

Session Rates: Working with a student therapist is a great way to access affordable therapy. Jennifer brings years of experience helping her students grow in schools and is excited to implement those same skills in the therapy room.

Sessions are $30 and are open to sliding scale and pro bono fees if needed.
